GUINSAUGON, Philippines (AFP) - Rescuers are to keep digging at the site of a Philippine village buried by a massive landslide five days ago in the vain hope of finding survivors, the provincial governor said.
Governor Rosette Lerias told a press briefing that rescue teams would continue digging for survivors despite the fact no one has been found alive since last Friday when the landslide happened.
Asked why, she said: "from what we see and what we know and from our equipment we still see a possibility."
